DESCRIPTION

The Castle of Campodenno, a Municipal property, is situated near the town, and near the village of Segonzone, immersed in a cultivated area with apple orchards. Campodenno is in Non Valley, the local territory which can count the greatest number of castles and aristocratic residences. These ancient palaces among the woods, and which overlook wide apple orchards, are the evidence of the ancient and glorious history of these lands. The original body of the castle is represented by the high pentagonal keep of the central palace, and it is dated back to the XIV century. The current complex is the result of a continuous building development, restoration and adjusting and the fourth lot, which provides for by the complete renovation of the residential bodies, will be expected in 2016. The complex is composed of two fortified entrances, one on the Eastern side and one on the Western side, with walls and a ravelin, which reach a wide defensive curtain, which includes the keep and the buildings. In the central and Northern part, some residential buildings are situated. They are characterized by a high monumentality and sole frescoes of XV and XVI centuries. In the central part, there is also the pentagonal keep, which was linked to the central body in XVI century and which presents a big polychromatic emblem of Kuen-Belasi. In the Southern part, there are some rustic bodies, which are equipped with relevant monumental features. The residential bodies are suitable for the capacity of the floors, for the fixtures and fittings, for the public use and they have also toilettes and two vertical links, situated on the facing side of the building group. The residential bodies have a use destination with exhibition, cultural use, because the rustic bodies are designed to accommodation.

Last permit regarding the IV° lot to realize, authorized by Monument and Fine Arts office of the Autonomous Province with report No. 1243 of 15/12/2009
